Alternative Tentacles is an independent record label founded in San Francisco, California, in 1979 by Jello Biafra and East Bay Ray, members of the iconic punk rock band Dead Kennedys.

Originally created to self-release the Dead Kennedys' debut 7-inch single "California Über Alles", the label quickly expanded to become one of the most influential hubs for underground punk, hardcore, alternative rock, and political spoken word in North America.
